Our Careteam

Monica
Client Care/Receptionist
Monica is a member of our Receptionist Team who greets our clients and prospective clients during their visits to Town and Country Animal Clinic. She joined the Town and Country Animal Clinic in 1998, after obtaining an Animal Care Aide diploma from a local college. Monica has the unique ability to greet and care for clients or assist with technical duties in the treatment-surgery area. She also assists in the bookkeeping area of the front office. Through her formal education and her long-standing employment here at Town And Country Animal Clinic Monica has a wealth of knowledge and is diligent about using proper medical terminology when speaking to our clients and staff alike regarding patient care.

In her spare time, Monica enjoys cycling and camping with her family. She has a Standard Poodle named Meggie that is a regular guest at the Town and Country Animal Clinic.
Carole
Client Care/Receptionist
Carole is an outgoing, friendly receptionist that truly loves people and pets. She joined our team in 2010, when she accepted Dr. Fetherston’s offer to join our team. In her words, “My first love is helping animals!” She and her husband Tom have been clients at the Town and Country Animal Clinic for 30 years. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Carole came to Windsor 30 years ago to attend St. Clair College Pharmacy Technician program. After graduation, she assisted her husband with the training of Standard Bred horses that raced throughout Canada and the United States. Carole is fortunate to be bilingual in English and French, occasionally pulling from her French background when speaking!

Next to pets, horses are her second love. In her spare time, Carole likes to rescue animals, something she’s been doing for over 25 years. She, her husband and their son, are the proud caretakers of numerous small animals. Ask her about them!
Brittany, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician
Brittany is one of our RVT’s (Registered Veterinary Techinicians) who joined the Town and Country team in April of 2017. After she completed her college externship placement with us, we knew she would be a great addition to our team.

She graduated from the St. Clair College Veterinary Technician program in 2016, and was the recipient of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association Veterinary Technician of 2016 Award for her outstanding academic achievements.

You may have met her assisting Dr. Fetherston at a recent appointment, although she works diligently “behind the scenes” to make sure your pet is receiving the best quality nursing and surgical care. Some of her favorite technical duties include: performing laboratory testing, taking digital radiographs and dental cleanings. She provides comfort and excellent care to all our patients.

Brittany shares her home with her two kittens Chester and Frankie, her sweet adult cat Sophie and her rescue dog Remington.
Kitrina, RVT
Veterinary Technician
Town and Country Animal Clinic welcomed Kitrina to our team in May of 2013. She will be one of the smiling faces that you meet when you visit our clinic. Kitrina graduated from St. Clair College in 2003 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Upon graduation, she achieved the Essex County Veterinary Association Award for Clinical Excellence. It is her goal to ensure that every experience at our clinic is a pleasant one for both you and your pet. Kitrina has worked in small animal practice within the city since her graduation as well as in an Ophthalmology practice while living in the GTA. This background in ophthalmology created a love for “all things eyes” and the ocular care of our patients.

Her love for animals began at a young age, which has given her the compassion to provide the best possible care to your pet. When she is not here at the Town and Country Animal Clinic, she has the privilege of instructing Veterinary Technician students at St. Clair College on a part time basis. Her time off is spent with her husband and her two sons enjoying their family pets, Dusty Cathopper (a feline aptly named after Dusty Crophopper from the movie Planes!) and Roen, an English Setter she adopted from the Veterinary Technician program. Kitrina looks forward to meeting you and your furry family soon!
Anna
Veterinary Technician
Anna joined our Technician team in 2018. After graduating from St. Clair College’s Veterinary Technician program in 2014, she travelled to Guatemala to volunteer. Her experience there allowed her to help rehabilitate and care for many exotic animals such as macaws, otters and even monkeys!

She has gained a wealth of experience by working in a busy emergency clinic in Calgary, and is currently working towards completing her bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Windsor. She has a special interest in small animal dentistry, and works diligently in compassionately caring for all our patients.

Anna resides in her hometown of Wheatley, with her two trusted felines Leroy and Lenny. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, playing hockey and travelling.
Christina
Lead Animal Care Assistant
Christina is our lead Animal Care Assistant. After completing her Co-Op placement in 2015, she volunteered with us until being welcomed to our team that summer. She has always impressed us with her initiative, and most of all with her love for our patients.

She divides her time between clerical duties at the front desk, assisting in exam rooms and laboratory, and pet boarding care. She ensures the clinic is fully stocked with pet foods and supplies, and especially loves to keep our beautiful clinic spotless.

Christina will be pursuing a future in the human medical field, by completing the Registered Practical Nurse Program at St. Clair College. In her free time, she enjoys being close to family, friends and her lovely cockapoo Bella.
Mira
Veterinary Assistant
Mira joined Town and Country Animal Clinic in October of 2016 after completion of over 100 hours of volunteering. She is a hard working young woman who fits into our team perfectly.

She loves to be “hands on” in our treatment area, assisting our technicians obtain blood samples and caring for our recovering post-surgical patients. She is always ready and willing to help out in every aspect of our clinic.

Mira is a full-time student at the University of Windsor majoring in Child Psychology. She’s always had a love for animals – and has a special place in her heart for her border collie/shepherd mix Dixie.
